One joy of getting older Is all the doors that shut So many opportunities I don't have to take up So much I can say no to I'm on a different path When fate comes calling at my door I'll be in the bath And now I don't have to worry about Taking a teacher training test I don't have to worry about Getting any better at playing chess I don't have to worry about The ability to chat in conversational Spanish I don't have to worry about Getting my head around Quantum Mechanics I used to wonder If I was missing out But now I know I'm not Without a shadow of a doubt I've seen all the support bands I've read those tricky books, I've learnt VB and SQL And that's enough And now I don't have to worry about Finally, actually, learning to knit I don't have to worry about Developing a vegan version of fish I don't have to worry about Seeing every UK railway station I don't have to worry about Making a speech at The United Nations There are seas I wish to sail And mountains I would climb But I will have more chance if I Do not misuse my time So sorry to sign languange and Riding a motorbike I'll be busy doing something else that I Actually like Because I don't have to worry about Taking a trip to Vietnam I don't have to worry about Finding the time to make my own jam I don't have to worry about Achieving any kind of Personal Best I don't have to worry about Thwarting terrorism in a fresh white vest I don't have to worry about Standing for election as an MP I don't have to worry about Meeting and annoying Paul McCartney I don't have to worry about Cashing in my account with Griffen Savers I don't have to worry about Becoming a professional poker player I don't have to worry about Working out how on earth to beat match I don't have to worry about Seeing any kind of point to modern jazz

Cheer up love It might never happen Come on duck Why the long face? Give's a smile It's all that I'm asking I'm trying to help You through your day I don't know What might have happened Maybe you Have a reason to be sad But surely Someone shouting "cheer up" Will cure any ills, more than pills And make you glad Hey! There's no need To get all aggresive I just thought It could help in some way But now you Have killed me with an axe And the last words that I heard was you say Cheer up love It might never happen Come on duck Why the long face? Here's a smile As that's what you wanted Thank you for helping Me through my day Your bloodied corpse has Really made my day
